Reading about Darfur

It was a raining while I was walking to school one Tuesday.
I was so tired because I couldn't get sleep the night before, only 5 hours. Junior year to the finest, right?
First class was going to be Global Studies, and I'm telling you, I'm half asleep.
Our teacher cheerfully says Good Morning, so it kind of wakes me up everytime I enter his class.
This time, he wants us to watch a movie.
It's called, "Hotel Rwanda"

Have you guys seen this movie? I wasn't interested at first, but seeing my teacher's excitement, I could tell it was going to be a informative movie.

It was. We spent more than two classes watching it. It opened my eyes.
Rwanda must have been a really beautiful country. People like Paul, the hotel manager, must have been in Rwanda all along. But seeing all the hatred that aroused from puppet governments, I could not stop believing that this has happened in almost every country.
I'm from Pakistan, and I really want to go there. We went two years ago, but now I only see it in the news.
What if this kind of thing happens in Pakistan? I'm sure not genocide, but this hatred.
There is so much hatred against the West now

Currently, in my Global Studies class, we are learning about the genocide in Darfur. Learning about Rwanda was eye-opening, but to imagine it going on currently in Darfur is a million times as scary.

So for the next few days, I'm planning on researching more about Darfur. I want to learn about many organizations that are helping, and about Al-Bashir :)
